چکیده

Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are widely used everywhere today, and their recycling is very important. This paper addresses the recovery of metals from NMC111 (LiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2) cathodic materials by leaching followed antisolvent precipitation. Ultrasound-assisted material was performed in 1.5 mol L−1 citric acid at 50 °C a solid-to-liquid ratio 20 g/L. Nickel(II), manganese(II) cobalt(II) were precipitated leach liquor as citrates 25 adding an (acetone or ethanol). No lithium(I) precipitation occurred under experimental conditions, allowing for lithium separation. The efficiencies manganese(II), nickel(II) decreased according to order Mn > Co Ni. efficiency increased when greater volume leachate used. A smaller acetone than ethanol needed reach same accordance with difference dielectric constants associated solubility constants. After two volumes into one liquor, 99.7% manganese, 97.0% cobalt 86.9% nickel recovered after 120 h, leaving liquid phase. metal converted oxides calcination 900 °C.

Acid recycling to optimize citric acid-modified soybean hull production

Modification of soybean hulls with citric acid (CA) improves the metal ion binding capacity of the hulls. A process for this modification has been developed. However, the process must be optimized for it to be cost effective. In this regard, the objectives of this study were (1) to develop a wash procedure to remove non-reacted or residual CA after soybean hull modification in order to maximize...

Supercritical antisolvent precipitation of PHBV microparticles.

The micronization of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV) from organic solutions using supercritical antisolvent (SAS) technique has been successfully achieved. SAS experiments were carried out at different operational conditions and microspheres with mean diameters ranging from 3 to 9 microm were obtained. The effect of CO(2) and liquid flow, temperature and pressure on particle...

Inhibition of aluminum oxyhydroxide precipitation with citric acid.

Citric acid has been shown to act as an agent for increasing the solubility of aluminum oxyhydroxides in aqueous solutions of high (>2.47 mol/mol) hydroxide-to-aluminum ratios. Conversely, citric acid also colloidally stabilizes particles in aqueous suspensions of aluminum-containing particles. Solutions of aluminum chloride, with and without citric acid added, were titrated with NaOH(aq). The ...
